We spoke to Will from Electric River ahead of the band's set at Camden Rocks...
The Punk Archive: Introduce yourselves to our readers...
Will: Electric River are a 4 piece rock band, that have a sound best described as a mix between The Gaslight Anthem and Pearl Jam- played with the intent of The Clash. We've just signed a deal to Cadiz Music have a new album called The Faith & Patience which will hit the shelves and digital stores on the 2nd June.
The Punk Archive: Are you excited to be playing Camden Rocks?
Will: We love Camden Rocks. It's great when such a vibrant place comes together to celebrate original music. The line up is also for proper music fans that dig a little deeper for their underground music, so it is a privilege to be part of the line up, let alone to headline a venue.
The Punk Archive: How was your tour with Lit?
Will: Touring with Lit was great. We had some brilliant nights with them and met so many cool people on the road. We also found their fanbase to be pretty amazing as there was a real open-mindedness to coming out early and checking out the support acts.
The Punk Archive: What can people expect from your live show?
Will: Our live shows tend to be pretty energetic, dynamic and generate real good atmospheres. We try to be at one with our audiences and make sure everyone goes away feeling they were part of something pretty special.
The Punk Archive: What does the rest of 2014 bring for Electric River?
Will: 2014 looks like pretty exciting for us. We have an album coming out in early June that’s currently being featured in all the mainstream music magazines, some festivals lined up, and will be releasing some new music videos in the near future. We will also no doubt be hitting the road again later in the year to hopefully meet some more new faces in some more new places.
Electric River headline The Enterprise at 11pm. Head to http://camdenrocksfestival.com/ for tickets and information.
