If you like a side order of gore with your post-core punk and crazy men on stage making organised noise then you may want to read on…

Voodoo Binmen are a two-piece wall of noise conceived in London. They are nuts. They are also THE nuts.

Having listened to their 3 track EP fair few times and watched a video of one of their live shows I can safely say they are musically talented and also completely insane. Their claims that they are a mash up of punk and You've Been Framed are not in the least untrue: in fact, for all intents and purposes I think that statement may not live up to the reality.

Charlie kicks and jerks across the stage as he rips riffs from his guitar before screaming into the mic and Invisible Frank hits the drums like he's being whipped from behind (and enjoying it).

The volume and apparent complexity of sound these two create has me stumped. It's difficult to believe the ears when your eyes are seeing one guitar and a drum kit.

Sonic Abuse is a short but sweet* three track EP full of violent melodics and ear crashing stomp.
First track up is Beast. It has elements of grunge under the gravel-riddled vocals scratching out a zombie storyline. Crunching guitars, melancholy yet energetic, it is a juxtaposition of sounds that are pleasingly confusing.

Love Pig is an apparent violent love triangle story of jealousy and hatred encapsulated in less than two minutes of drum rolls, arpeggio riffs and simple but effective vocals. If it invokes an image, it's dark roads, fear-bright eyes and intoxicating claustrophobia out in the freezing open air.

Last track Mono Valley Stomp has the remnants of every decent punk band of old, without being a carbon copy or tired.

I like this band. I like what they do. I want you to like them too. Go have a goosey. Tell me if I'm wrong. I won't believe you.

* Sweet used in context of epicness. Not to be confused with cute.
